The map of military influence in Syria for September 2019 showed a very slight variation in the ratios of total control among the conflicting forces on Syrian territory compared with the ratios recorded in August 2019.
According to the Jusoor Center for Studies monthly mapping, the Syrian regime increased its control of territory to (62.22%) compared with the (62.19%) ratio recorded last month. The ratio of territory controlled by the opposition forces decreased to (9.94%) compared to the (9.97%) recorded in August.
In turn, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have maintained the ratios of territory they control since May (27.84%). ISIS has no military control over Syrian territory since February 2019.

Northern Syria
The map of influence and military control in northern Syria has been undergoing changes due to the regime’s failure to abide by the unilateral truce declared by Russia on August 31 following the extensive campaign launched by the regime and Russia on May 6, 2019.
The Syrian regime was able to achieve new gains (0.03%) after an attack on the Tal Jaffar axis northeast of Khan Shaykhun city in the southern countryside of Idlib. The regime managed to gain control of several points near the hill which the opposition was unable to maintain. 
These new changes in the field did not affect the areas controlled by the Syrian regime since the beginning of the military campaign which are estimated at 580 Km2. 
In September 2019, Turkey sent large military reinforcements to the military post it has established north of Khan Shaykhun on August 24. The move came following the Syrian regime gaining control of the southern sector of the de-escalation zone. Turkey also sent food and logistical supplies to the Morek crossing point for the first time since the point went out of opposition control.
