The migration of Syrians is both a contemporary and age-old issue. Since 2011, the country has been witnessing a continuous wave of illegal migration, with three major waves recorded. The first peak was in 2012, the second in 2015, and the third in 2021. During these years, approximately 7 million refugees left Syria, in addition to a similar number of internally displaced persons     (IDPs) who are typically seen as a major source of refugee flow to the world .   

This report addresses illegal migration methods as they have the most significant impacts on both the decision-maker in the host country and the Syrian community. The report reviews the causes of illegal immigration according to the Syrians' existence, and it also explores the implications of this migration on both the Syrian community and the local forces, as well as its external implications primarily on European countries .   

Moreover, this report is based on the events of 2023 and their causes in the host countries, the factors leading to illegal immigration, and the future of these operations in those migration areas. This report is mainly directed at the media to shed light on the points that lead to the illegal immigration of Syrians, which carry significant dangers for the individual and the community, as well as to the decision-maker who is concerned about these issues and interested in addressing them .   

The report concludes that the ongoing conditions causing migration in Syria and the absence of any for resolving the Syrian issue, a fair solution that guarantees the interests of all, is a major cause of immigration. The blockage or significant narrowing of the horizon for legal migration is a reason for Syrians to seek illegal doors. The harsh environments in which the Syrian refugee lives in neighboring countries, as in the case of Lebanon and Turkey, contribute to the process of illegal immigration
