Jusoor for Studies center issued map of military influence for July 2017, which shows a slight change in the control percentage for different parties.
Our center seeks to illustrate the most notable developments on the Syrian field along with its implications on the total and effective control percentage nationwide each governorate separately through the monthly issuing of these maps, as the door will be open for researchers and followers to analyze the maps' significances and contents at a political level.
The map shows a gradual shrink in ISIS influence comparing to the terrorist organization's influence last June, as Syrian regime forces are expanding their influence in Syrian Al Badia in the east through intensifying their military operations there, at which ISIS control percentage is about 25.2% whilst Syrian regime forces backed by foreign militias are controlling about 33.3 % . 
It’s notable that, there is no change in the lines of contact between Syrian regime and opposition, as both of them kept their locations which are specified by de-escalation zones agreement except some intensified attempts from Syrian regime forces in June 2017 to make a progress in eastern Ghouta fronts that went in vain. On the other hand, regime forces were able to make a slight progress on the account of Syrian opposition in the Hamad Badia east of Damascus and As-Suwayda governorates. The armed opposition influence percentage is about 18.9%.
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) hasn't made any notable change in its military influence percentage which is 21.5%, as it focuses on gaining more neighborhoods in Ar-Raqqa city
Syrian opposition factions in Euphrates Shield zone kept the same military influence which is about 1.1% with some possibilities of changes to take place the upcoming period, at which some opposition factions conducted an intensified military operations against SDF outposts in Tell Rifaat without causing any change in the map of influence.

The northern region:

The map of military influence in the northern region of Syria for July 2017 shows no changes in the influence percentages for all parties.
In Idlib Governorate and its surrounding, which runs toward Aleppo, Hama and Lattakia governorates, there were attempts from Syrian regime forces backed by foreign militias to violate the ceasefire in north Hama rural fronts and north-west of Lattakia rural fronts, which are adjacent to the Turkish boarders. However, no impact on the influence or control posts took place for both parties.
In Euphrates Shield zones, there were attempts from Syrian opposition's factions to advance on the account of Syrian Democratic Forces in Tell Rifaat perimeter, however, no changes in the map of influence took place for the two parties. 

The eastern region:

The map of military influence in the eastern region of Syria for July 2017 shows a notable change in the military influence percentages for all parties. 
At which, Syrian regime forces backed by foreign militias were able to make a substantial progress in the perimeter of Al Sukhna city east of Homs Governorate, however, they failed to make progress toward Uqayribat town east of Hama or even in the area north of T4 military Airbase during the past month despite the fact that, ISIS is controlling these areas. 
As for Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a slow advance is taking place inside Ar-Raqqa city after the siege that SDF imposed on ISIS. According to a statement from SDF, substantial areas from the southern neighborhoods of the city are controlled during July 2017, however, this dominance doesn't have any impact on the total military influence area. 
Concerning ISIS, the shrink in the terrorist organization's areas is obvious while ISIS is trying to keep its outposts in Al Sukhna city along with Uqayribat town. Many attempts of the terrorist organization's elements to make a new progress in Deir ez-Zor fronts and 137th Brigade which are controlled by Syrian regime forces took place during the past month. 

Southern region:
The map of military influence in southern region of Syria, shows no changes in the control percentage for any party despite the violent military campaign by Syrian regime force backed by foreign militias on eastern Ghouta fronts like Hosh Nasri, Jobar and Ein Tarma.
Syrian opposition factions are still keeping their positions in eastern Qalamoun, which are besieged by Syrian regime forces, at which the zone hasn’t witnessed any ceasefire violations that Syrian regime wants to keep this situation through an agreement with the operating factions in Al-Ruhaybah and Jayrud. 
As for points of contact between Syrian regime and opposition in Daraa, Al-Quneitra and As-Suwayda governorates, there was an obvious commitment from both parties to the signed agreement between U.S. and Russia on 7th July 2017, as no ceasefire violations took place. 

On the other hand, Syrian Al Badia isn’t covered by the agreement signed between U.S. and Russia, at which a slight progress was made by Syrian regime forces in the Hamad Badia east of Damascus and As-Suwayda rural.
